Ordering Your Grad Gown

The size of your gown is determined by your height.

The gown should reach down to your mid-calf and height should be measured with flat shoes/barefoot, from the head to bottom of the foot.

Please note that the gown widths do not increase with size.

Wearing Your Grad Gown
  1. When you receive your gown and cap with the silver vee-stole and tassel, put them away safely until you can take them home - there are NO REPLACEMENTS.

  2. Take the package home and open it up. The cap is wrapped int he gown.  Check the gown for any damage, and then hang it up so any wrinkles release by graduation.  Do not iron the gown.

  3. DO NOT DECORATE THE CAP.

  4. GRAD DAY: Come to the venue and put the gown on and zip it up.  The zipper goes in the front.

  5. Put the silver vee-stole over the gown.  The LONG TAIL goes to the back.  The seams should be on the shoulders.

  6. Attach the tassel to the button on top of the cap.  You can wrap the string once around the button to secure the tassel.  DO NOT PULL TOO HARD ON THE BUTTON - it will pop off!

  7. The cap has a front and a back.  The front is the longer flat edge - the shorter flat edge is the back.  The scrunchy elastic edges are the sides.  Put the cap on with the longer flat edge tot he front.  You may need to use bobby pins useful in securing the cap over your hair.

  8. Put the tassel on the LEFT hand side.
